June 17 – Car Free YYJ

Car Free YYJ presented by the Downtown Victoria Business Association (DVBA) will be back on Douglas Street on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 11:00am-6:00pm. Car Free YYJ will take over Douglas Street for the city’s fourth annual community celebration with vendors, music, and much much more! Grab the entire family and enjoy your Father’s Day on Douglas Street for this free event!

June 24 – Fernwood Bites

Fernwood’s favourite food and drink tasting event is back for its 9th year. Join friends and neighbours at Fernwood Bites in beautiful Fernwood Square and taste the best food & drink Victoria and Southern Vancouver Island have to offer. At this fabulous event, you will have full reign to enjoy samples from over 30 restaurants, breweries, distilleries, cideries, and wineries. All food and drink samples are included with the purchase of your ticket. You don’t have to choose; you can try them all! This is a 19+ event. Rain-or-shine.

Fernwood Bites is a fundraiser for Fernwood Neighbourhood Resource Group. All funds raised will support programs and services in Fernwood including affordable housing, childcare, family, youth, and seniors support programs, food access programs, and arts & cultural events.

July 2 – Sidney Sidewalk Sale & Street Festival

Visit Sidney on Monday, July 2nd for Sidney’s Annual Sidewalk Sale & Street Festival! The biggest sale of the year with over 40 stores participating! Enjoy live music and a beer garden presented by Mary Winspear Centre and food services by Boondock’s Bar and Grill from 12pm to 6pm on Fourth Street by Tanner’s Books, The Sidney Lions will also be offering a pancake breakfast from 9:00am to 11:30am on Fourth Street and Beacon Avenue.
